Artist Profile
A native of High Point, North Carolina, Stephanie Williams Kidd earned her bachelor's degree in Fashion and Costume Design from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. She also lived and studied in Florence, Italy where her work was further influenced by the latest Italian styles. In fact, she has traveled to nearly
a dozen countries across the globe, each one contributing to her repertoire of imaginative ideas.
Stephanie has always had an eye for the creative and artistic, but it was her own playful curiosity that got her into the jewelry business. Making jewelry for herself and as gifts for friends, she began to receive tremendous accolades and phone calls from local boutiques who had seen her work and were interested in meeting the designer. And, voila, S.W. Leah Designs was born. Following her casual start, she began to receive more inquiries from people to design jewelry for weddings and individual stores. Her pieces are all one-of-a-kind and made of a variety of stones, beads, and precious jewels. Stephanie's various positions at Kenneth Cole and Federated Department Stores inspired her to continue the pursuit of her own design business. Her success continues with S.W. Leah Designs jewelry appearing in stores across the Eastern seaboard from boutique chains in North Carolina like Wild Flower to large department stores including Parisian in Atlanta and Alabama. Never knowing her own boundaries as a designer, she has also found success in hand-dipped pen and ink calligraphy and interior design. Her keen eye for the perfect combination of colors, patterns, and shapes has created some of the most beautiful rooms in personal homes and showrooms. Now, S. W. Leah Designs is proud to introduce her latest collection of jewelry on this web site. As Stephanie's home-grown talent blossoms, her hand-crafted pieces continue to dazzle women across the country. She currently resides in High Point with husband Bryan and their daughters (puppies) Rozz and Wilma. Written by Ramsey Qubein |
